Amanda Bates, MSW, RSW
Registered Social Worker
Master of Social Work

Hi, I’m Amanda (she/her), a Registered Social Worker with both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Social Work.
I support adults living with chronic illness and chronic pain, supporting the many ways health challenges can effect life, from emotions and relationships to identity and daily routines. Together, we can explore grief, overwhelm, and adjustment, while finding strategies that help you cope and improve quality of life.

I also support aduts navigating anxiety, depression, grief, pet loss, stress, caregiver fatigue and other mental health concerns. Whether you are managing difficult emotions, facing loss, or working through life's changes, you don't have to go through it alone.
In our work together, I strive to create a space where you feel truly heard, respected, and supported. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices. Counselling moves at your pace and focuses on what matters most to you.

Based in Timmins, Ontario, I provide virtual counselling to adults across Ontario, making support accessible from the comfort and privacy of your own space.

I'm committed to offering a space that is inclusive, non-judgmental, and grounded in care.
I offer a limited number of reduced-rate appointments through a sliding scale to help make counselling more accessible. This means the session fee is adjusted based on individual financial circumstances. Because spots are limited, please reach out to discuss current availability if cost is a concern.
